What is Strongevity (and who is it for?)

Some of you may have recently seen our schedule change to include classes we have labelled Strongevity. In some ways, the intent of these classes, and indeed the intent of all of our classes, is summarised within the name.

We believe people are meant to be strong physically, mentally and emotionally so that they can grapple with any of the challenges that life throws at them. This isn’t just for young people, our bodies are wonderful adaptive organisms that are capable of supporting fulfilling lives for the long haul. It is these beliefs that make us fuse the words Strong + Longevity to describe the class we have created to support the future we believe in.

It is a class that empowers participants to work at their own pace, as it gently builds demand to an appropriate level. It uses activities that are functional in the truest sense of the word. Activities that improve people’s abilities to lie down and stand up and to carry things in a variety of ways. Activities that teach people how to productively manage fatigue while using their strength, so that they can do things that they like doing, better, for longer.

Alongside what we believe is an industry leading, scientifically sound, training methodology, we also offer a supportive environment for people to be themselves and to explore things. It is a place where people can be physically and emotionally safe, hopefully giving them the space to replenish their spirit so that they can give the world their best when they depart.

Life isn’t about what happens in the gym, but what happens in the gym should support life. That’s why I’m so excited that we’ve been able to start these classes, and I hope that we are going to see a bunch of people embracing a stronger life for the the long haul.

2-hour kettlebell workshop covering the Kettlebell Swing, Goblet Clean, Rafiki Press, and Goblet Squat.

You know those courses/workshops you attend and think ‘huh, yeah I guess I got 1-2 applicable tips’? Well, this isn’t that kind of workshop. We’ve been running it for over 5 years and still get feedback from physios, chiros, athletes, average joes, and everyone in between that it’s the best kettlebell workshop they’ve been to.

This is the perfect workshop for anyone looking to begin training or further their knowledge when it comes to strength and movement. Each workshop is different as we work with the group to establish your individual needs and where your current level of strength is. You’ll learn the basic foundational movements but you’ll also take away a heap of tips and tricks to apply to barbell ad bodyweight training as well. For more information about how we train, you can read more here.

QLD Kettlebells Brisbane is a gym where quality over quantity always wins. Our members have a similar goal; to be able to move well and be strong for a long time. This is why our group kettlebell classes are designed with life in mind. From kids to work and study and everything in between, our training programs are created so that you leave each class feeling better than when you walked in.

Event located at Queensland Kettlebells, Didsbury St, East Brisbane. The venue is at the back of the shed complex on the right.

Please note, we will happily reschedule your workshop if unexpected circumstances arise, and you provide us with as much notice as possible.

Failure to advise us of your non attendance will result in forfeiture of your workshop fee.
